Grilled Shrimp Kabobs

Sunday night dinner was shrimp kabobs, because they are easy.
Marinated veggies to go along with the shrimp.
Marinated shrimpies, actually prawns that were very large.
This is the marinade i used, but anything you like works great.  I like the Allegro brand. You can find it at almost any grocery store and they have several flavors.
I marinated the veggies and shrimp for about 30 minutes.  I would usually leave them in longer, but i had just picked everything up at the store right before dinner time.  They still had plenty of flavor.  Notice the "with horseradish" on the bottle, which added a little spice, but not too much.  2groovydude scarfed them right up without blinking an eye.
I did not put the mushrooms in the marinated veggies however, because they soak up too much liquid.  Just before Daddio put them on the grill i poured a little juice on them and olive oil.  The veggies went on first to have more cooking time than the shrimp, since it cooks in just a few minutes.  And you know, i like that nice grill color on my food.

Give them a try:

Grilled Shrimp Kabobs

Serves 2 adults and 1 2groovydude

1lb Prawns, peeled and deviened
1 small pkg, mushrooms
1 bell pepper, chunked, color of your choice
1/2 purple onion, chunked
2 cups Allegro marinade
Kabob skewers, metal or wooden

Marinate all for at least 30 minutes to several hours.  If you use the wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water before adding the food. Heat grill on low heat and grill veggies for 10-15 minutes and shrimp for 3-4 minutes, turning often.  Enjoy!

Remember that you can use any veggies that you like.  Sometimes i use tomatoes, zuchinni, yellow squash or anything else i might have in the fridge.
